Auction result misses estimated price range

This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques François Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Military Encampment At The Edge Of A Forest, which sold at auction in June 2007 for GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,930.36).
