This artwork by Jacques des Rousseaux achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2015. In the Old Master & British Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of A Man, Head And Shoulders, Wearing A Blue Velvet Cap And Gold Chain sold for GBP 197,000.00 (€ 270,526.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jacques des Rousseaux; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Selbstbildnis in Phantasietracht. 1635. sold at auction in April 2011 with the realized price of CHF 526,000.00 (€ 409,521.22).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacques des Rousseaux erzielte im April 2015 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man, Head And Shoulders, Wearing A Blue Velvet Cap And Gold Chain für GBP 197.000,00 (€ 270.526,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00.
