Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work An old man reading a book by Jacques des Rousseaux for GBP 9,400.00 (€ 15,153.98). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques des Rousseaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Selbstbildnis in Phantasietracht. 1635. in April 2011 with an auction result of CHF 526,000.00 (€ 409,521.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit An old man reading a book von Jacques des Rousseaux für GBP 9.400,00 (€ 15.153,98) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Old Master Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques des Rousseaux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Selbstbildnis in Phantasietracht. 1635. im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 526.000,00 (€ 409.521,22).
