In October 2013 Artcurial held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Portrait De Jeune Fille Aux Nattes, 1939 by Jacques Chapiro. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,846.00 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacques Chapiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a young girl in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 28,193.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Artcurial die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait De Jeune Fille Aux Nattes, 1939 von Jacques Chapiro zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.846,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques Chapiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 28.193,82).
