The work Hortulana (W. 14; W.-R. 18; T. 107; G. & H. 32) by Jacques Bellange was worth GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,199.94) to a buyer in December 2010. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Prints at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 4,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jacques Bellange; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Martyrdom Of Saint Andrew sold at auction in July 2014 with the realized price of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,686.15).
