Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Christies in Paris held the auction Dessins Anciens et du XIXe Siècle, which included the work La Lecture by Jacques-André Portail. It changed hands for a price of EUR 37,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques-André Portail have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Musiciens in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 218,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Dessins Anciens et du XIXe Siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Lecture von Jacques-André Portail zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 37.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques-André Portail auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Musiciens im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 218.800,00.
