Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900, which included the work A young girl wearing a bonnet, bust-length, reading a letter by Jacques-André Portail. The price achieved of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,275.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques-André Portail achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Musiciens in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 218,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young girl wearing a bonnet, bust-length, reading a letter von Jacques-André Portail zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.930,00 (€ 8.275,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques-André Portail erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Musiciens im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 218.800,00.
