Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection, which included the work 'La Conversation' by Jacques-André Portail. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 71,417.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques-André Portail - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Musiciens, which sold at auction in March 2016 for EUR 218,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings including French Masterworks from the Dormeuil Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'La Conversation' von Jacques-André Portail zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 71.417,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques-André Portail mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Musiciens beobachtet, die im März 2016 für EUR 218.800,00 versteigert wurde.
