In January 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work A young man and a seated woman by Jacques-André Portail. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,044.08) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques-André Portail have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Musiciens in March 2016 with an auction result of EUR 218,800.00.

Im Januar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young man and a seated woman von Jacques-André Portail zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.044,08) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques-André Portail auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Musiciens im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 218.800,00.
