In the Important Old Master Paintings Including Property From the Collection of Jacques Goudstikker auction, the work Peasants and goats in a mountainous landscape sold for USD 78,000.00 (€ 57,101.02) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Peasants with livestock by classical ruins in an extensive landscape, with a youth playing a pipe in the foreground sold at auction in April 2007 with the realized price of USD 96,000.00 (€ 70,278.18).
