Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A river landscape with cattle watering by a ruin and herdsmen resting on the bank by Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,800.00 (€ 24,951.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peasants with livestock by classical ruins in an extensive landscape, with a youth playing a pipe in the foreground, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 96,000.00 (€ 70,278.18).

Die Arbeit A river landscape with cattle watering by a ruin and herdsmen resting on the bank von Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan kam im Juli 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.800,00 (€ 24.951,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
