Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2008 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Dutch Moored Boats Near A Windmill by Adrianus Jacobus Vrolijk. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 6,875.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrianus Jacobus Vrolijk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cattle at pasture with a windmill beyond, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 11,162.50 (€ 18,247.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dutch Moored Boats Near A Windmill von Adrianus Jacobus Vrolijk zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 6.875,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Adrianus Jacobus Vrolijk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cattle at pasture with a windmill beyond beobachtet, die im März 2002 für GBP 11.162,50 (€ 18.247,75) versteigert wurde.
