The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrianus Jacobus Vrolijk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cattle at pasture with a windmill beyond, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 11,162.50 (€ 18,247.75).
