Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work An Allegory Of The Arts, Or 'Painting Being Crowned By Poetry' by Jacob Toorenvliet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,461.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Toorenvliet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rabbinical Discussion, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 104,500.00 (€ 76,193.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Allegory Of The Arts, Or 'Painting Being Crowned By Poetry' von Jacob Toorenvliet zur Versteigerung kam.
