Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rocky landscape with two peasants conversing near classical ruins by Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 12,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peasants with livestock by classical ruins in an extensive landscape, with a youth playing a pipe in the foreground in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 96,000.00 (€ 70,278.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A rocky landscape with two peasants conversing near classical ruins von Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan kam im November 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 12.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Sibrandi Mancadan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peasants with livestock by classical ruins in an extensive landscape, with a youth playing a pipe in the foreground im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 96.000,00 (€ 70.278,18).
