Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A wooded landscape with herders resting and cattle and sheep grazing by Jacob Salomonsz. van Ruysdael was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 14,206.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Salomonsz. van Ruysdael have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Landscape With Cavaliers In The Foreground, A Church Beyond in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 66,500.00 (€ 90,362.22).

Die Arbeit A wooded landscape with herders resting and cattle and sheep grazing von Jacob Salomonsz. van Ruysdael kam im April 2001 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 14.206,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
