Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work A group of Danish cutters, including the Camilla, racing to windward by Jacob Petersen of Copenhagen for GBP 587.50 (€ 984.96). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Petersen of Copenhagen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A group of Danish cutters including the Camilla racing to windward in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,369.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A group of Danish cutters, including the Camilla, racing to windward von Jacob Petersen of Copenhagen für GBP 587,50 (€ 984,96) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Petersen of Copenhagen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A group of Danish cutters including the Camilla racing to windward im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.462,50 (€ 10.369,93).
