Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work Still Life With A Yellow Iris, A Parrot Tulip, A White Rose And Insects On A Wooden Table Ledge by Jacob Marrel. It changed hands for a price of GBP 115,250.00 (€ 146,426.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Marrel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blumenstilleben in einer Terracotta-Vase auf einem Sockel. 1640., which sold at auction in September 2010 for CHF 491,500.00 (€ 368,417.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life With A Yellow Iris, A Parrot Tulip, A White Rose And Insects On A Wooden Table Ledge von Jacob Marrel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 115.250,00 (€ 146.426,42) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Marrel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blumenstilleben in einer Terracotta-Vase auf einem Sockel. 1640. beobachtet, die im September 2010 für CHF 491.500,00 (€ 368.417,21) versteigert wurde.
