In March 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Modern Art, which included the work Nature Morte by Jacob Markiel. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 638.00 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Markiel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nu allonge in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,295.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im März 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature Morte von Jacob Markiel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 638,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Markiel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nu allonge im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.295,15).
