Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2016 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Jacob Kassay for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 27,850.76). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jacob Kassay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 232,985.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2016 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jacob Kassay für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 27.850,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Kassay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 317.000,00 (€ 232.985,45).
