Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan Jacob Coenraad Spohler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A winter's day with skaters on the ice and windmills in the distance, which sold at auction in October 2008 for EUR 26,200.00.

Die Arbeit Dutch a Summer Landscape With A Ferry At A Riverside Windmill; A Winter Landscape With Skaters On The Ice (A Pair) von Jan Jacob Coenraad Spohler kam im Dezember 2010 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
