Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2000 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work The Month of January by Jacob Grimmer. The price achieved of GBP 69,750.00 (€ 111,111.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Grimmer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Massacre Of The Innocents, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 313,250.00 (€ 375,161.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Month of January von Jacob Grimmer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 69.750,00 (€ 111.111,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Grimmer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Massacre Of The Innocents beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 313.250,00 (€ 375.161,12) versteigert wurde.
