Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Summer: a landscape with peasants, cattle and sheep; and Winter: a village scene with skaters on a frozen lake by Jacob Grimmer was sold in the Old Master Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2003. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 83,650.00 (€ 118,479.26). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Grimmer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Massacre Of The Innocents, which sold at auction in December 2011 for GBP 313,250.00 (€ 375,161.12).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Summer: a landscape with peasants, cattle and sheep; and Winter: a village scene with skaters on a frozen lake von Jacob Grimmer wurde im Dezember 2003 in der Auktion Old Master Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 83.650,00 (€ 118.479,26) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Grimmer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Massacre Of The Innocents beobachtet, die im Dezember 2011 für GBP 313.250,00 (€ 375.161,12) versteigert wurde.
