Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Portrait of a man with a ruff, half-length by Jacob Gerritsz. Cuyp was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Christies in New York in June 2015. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,965.39) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Gerritsz. Cuyp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Vanitas Still Life With An Angel Blowing Bubbles in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 374,500.00 (€ 273,058.69).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a man with a ruff, half-length von Jacob Gerritsz. Cuyp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Vanitas Still Life With An Angel Blowing Bubbles im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 374.500,00 (€ 273.058,69).
