Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2000 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Peasants in an interior by Jacob Dooijewaard. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 819.14 (€ 360.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Dooijewaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ronde Lutherse Kerk: the Singel on a winters night in February 2008 with an auction result of EUR 4,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peasants in an interior von Jacob Dooijewaard zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 819,14 (€ 360,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Dooijewaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ronde Lutherse Kerk: the Singel on a winters night im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.750,00.
