Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A windmill in a village on a river by Jacob Dooijewaard was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 700.00 – 900.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 702.12 (€ 308.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Dooijewaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ronde Lutherse Kerk: the Singel on a winters night in February 2008 with an auction result of EUR 4,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A windmill in a village on a river von Jacob Dooijewaard wurde im Juli 2000 in der Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 700,00 – 900,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 702,12 (€ 308,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Dooijewaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ronde Lutherse Kerk: the Singel on a winters night im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.750,00.
