Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in an embroidered black dress with a white 'molensteenkraag' by Jacob Adriaensz. Backer was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2008. The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Adriaensz. Backer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, in a black coat with a white collar and cuffs, wearing a black hat, a glove in his right hand, before a column and a red curtain in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 122,500.00 (€ 173,663.86).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length, in an embroidered black dress with a white 'molensteenkraag' von Jacob Adriaensz. Backer kam im September 2008 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden.
