Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included this untitled work by Jack Youngerman. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,497.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Youngerman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work August, 1966 in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 93,825.00 (€ 84,155.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jack Youngerman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.497,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Youngerman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit August, 1966 im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.825,00 (€ 84.155,53).
