Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Homage to Fontana? by Jack Hoggan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 44,000.00 (€ 52,128.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Jack Hoggan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2020 the work Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons was auctioned for GBP 93,812.50 (€ 104,170.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in Edinburgh die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Homage to Fontana? von Jack Hoggan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 44.000,00 (€ 52.128,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Jack Hoggan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2020 die Arbeit Scarlet Ribbons, Lovely Ribbons für GBP 93.812,50 (€ 104.170,78) versteigert.
