Despite a disappointment, a good price for Jack Stuck
When the work Landscape by Jack Stuck was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,232.74). Despite this disappointing result, Landscape is the most expensive artwork by Jack Stuck that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Jack Stuck
Als die Arbeit Landscape von Jack Stuck im Juni 2015 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.232,74) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Landscape das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jack Stuck, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
