Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rood vierkant by Jaap Hillenius was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,400.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaap Hillenius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 6,850.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rood vierkant von Jaap Hillenius kam im Juni 2009 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.400,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaap Hillenius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 6.850,00 versteigert wurde.
