Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work A la recherche by Jaap Hillenius. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,250.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaap Hillenius - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 6,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A la recherche von Jaap Hillenius zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaap Hillenius mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 6.850,00 versteigert wurde.
