Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 2 kanten by Jaap Hillenius was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. The price achieved of EUR 1,320.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jaap Hillenius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vroeg Voorjaar, S'Ochtends in December 2007 with an auction result of EUR 6,850.00.
