In September 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Op en neer by Jaap Egmond. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,360.00 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jaap Egmond have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Toetsenspel 1 op 1 (Game of Keys 1 on 1) in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 68 % übertroffen
Im September 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Op en neer von Jaap Egmond zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.360,00 und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jaap Egmond auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Toetsenspel 1 op 1 (Game of Keys 1 on 1) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.500,00.
