Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terriers rabbiting by J. Langlois was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 864.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by J. Langlois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Terriers on the scent; and Terriers rabbiting in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,739.59).
