The »bidding war« ended at GBP 576.00 (€ 838.88), 15% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by J. Langlois have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Terriers on the scent; and Terriers rabbiting in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,739.59).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 576,00 (€ 838,88) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von J. Langlois auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Terriers on the scent; and Terriers rabbiting im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.739,59).
