Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Iwao Yamawaki could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Building with lamp (at an angle) changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 896.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Iwao Yamawaki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bather collage in April 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,342.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Iwao Yamawaki konnte im Oktober 2011 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Building with lamp (at an angle) für USD 1.250,00 (€ 896,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Iwao Yamawaki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bather collage im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.342,16).
