Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Boats on Summer Water 51.4 x 116.8 cm. (20 1/4 x 46 in.) by Ivon Hitchens was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 66,440.00 (€ 76,989.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivon Hitchens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Azaleas in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 327,109.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two Boats on Summer Water 51.4 x 116.8 cm. (20 1/4 x 46 in.) von Ivon Hitchens wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 66.440,00 (€ 76.989,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivon Hitchens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Azaleas im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 327.109,44).
