Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sussex River, Evening Mist 40.4 x 75 cm. (15 7/8 x 29 1/2 in.) by Ivon Hitchens was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 25,600.00 (€ 29,664.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivon Hitchens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life with Azaleas in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 327,109.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sussex River, Evening Mist 40.4 x 75 cm. (15 7/8 x 29 1/2 in.) von Ivon Hitchens kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.600,00 (€ 29.664,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivon Hitchens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life with Azaleas im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 327.109,44).
