Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Boat on Shallow Water 41 x 74.2 cm. (16 1/8 x 29 1/8 in.) by Ivon Hitchens was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 38,400.00 (€ 44,497.25). Admittedly, works by Ivon Hitchens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Azaleas in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 327,109.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Boat on Shallow Water 41 x 74.2 cm. (16 1/8 x 29 1/8 in.) von Ivon Hitchens wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 38.400,00 (€ 44.497,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivon Hitchens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Azaleas im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 327.109,44).
