It achieved a price of GBP 82,950.00 (€ 96,539.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivon Hitchens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life with Azaleas, which sold at auction in January 2020 for GBP 275,000.00 (€ 327,109.44).

Die Arbeit Tree, Sky & Ragwort (Giant Oak Series) von Ivon Hitchens wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 82.950,00 (€ 96.539,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivon Hitchens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life with Azaleas beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für GBP 275.000,00 (€ 327.109,44) versteigert wurde.
