Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Mood by Ivon Hitchens was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 31,500.00 (€ 36,594.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivon Hitchens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Azaleas in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 327,109.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring Mood von Ivon Hitchens kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.500,00 (€ 36.594,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivon Hitchens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Azaleas im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 327.109,44).
