Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Painted Nude: Dark Hair 40.6 x 86.3 cm. (16 x 34 in.) by Ivon Hitchens. The price achieved of GBP 38,100.00 (€ 44,149.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivon Hitchens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Azaleas in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 327,109.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Painted Nude: Dark Hair 40.6 x 86.3 cm. (16 x 34 in.) von Ivon Hitchens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 38.100,00 (€ 44.149,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivon Hitchens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Azaleas im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 327.109,44).
