Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Christies in London held the auction The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection, which included the work A Circle of Flowers by Ivon Hitchens. The price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,656.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivon Hitchens have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with Azaleas in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 327,109.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion The Robin and Rupert Hambro Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Circle of Flowers von Ivon Hitchens zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.656,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivon Hitchens auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with Azaleas im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 327.109,44).
