Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Paris, am Seineufer. by Ivo Hauptmann was auctioned at Grisebach in November 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivo Hauptmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Schiffe im Hafen, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 14,400.00 (€ 21,371.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Paris, am Seineufer. von Ivo Hauptmann kam im November 2014 bei Grisebach zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivo Hauptmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Schiffe im Hafen beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für GBP 14.400,00 (€ 21.371,40) versteigert wurde.
