In June 2011 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work A Summer Day, Merikiul' by Ivan Shishkin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 193,250.00 (€ 213,795.20), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ivan Shishkin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Forest Clearing in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 3,177,000.00 (€ 2,040,724.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 61 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Summer Day, Merikiul' von Ivan Shishkin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 193.250,00 (€ 213.795,20) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ivan Shishkin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Forest Clearing im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.177.000,00 (€ 2.040.724,56).
