It achieved a price of GBP 104,500.00 (€ 131,385.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 74%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Shishkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Forest Clearing in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 3,177,000.00 (€ 2,040,724.56).

Die Arbeit Merikyul Landscape von Ivan Shishkin kam im November 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 104.500,00 (€ 131.385,35) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 74%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivan Shishkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Forest Clearing im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.177.000,00 (€ 2.040.724,56).
