This artwork by Ivan Shishkin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2016. In the Russian Pictures auction, the work At The Edge Of The Pine Forest sold for GBP 1,385,000.00 (€ 1,662,451.96) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ivan Shishkin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Forest Clearing sold at auction in April 2008 with the realized price of USD 3,177,000.00 (€ 2,040,724.56).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ivan Shishkin erzielte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit At The Edge Of The Pine Forest für GBP 1.385.000,00 (€ 1.662.451,96) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ivan Shishkin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Forest Clearing im April 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 3.177.000,00 (€ 2.040.724,56).
