Auction result well in line with expectations
The work OFORTY 1885-1886 by Ivan Shishkin was sold in the The Russian Sale auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,251.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Shishkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Forest Clearing in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 3,177,000.00 (€ 2,040,724.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit OFORTY 1885-1886 von Ivan Shishkin wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion The Russian Sale bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.251,65) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivan Shishkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Forest Clearing im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.177.000,00 (€ 2.040.724,56).
