The work Suda Eliya by Ivan Peries was sold in the Indian and Southeast Asian Art including Modern and auction at Christies in New York in September 2005. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,200.00 (€ 10,947.09). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ivan Peries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 23,940.00 (€ 22,019.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Suda Eliya von Ivan Peries wurde im September 2005 in der Auktion Indian and Southeast Asian Art including Modern and bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.200,00 (€ 10.947,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ivan Peries mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 23.940,00 (€ 22.019,87) versteigert wurde.
